Announcing our Spring Event! On Thursday, March 26, 2015, we will preview “The Women of Philadelphia: A Documentary,” being created by Nancy Moses and History Making Productions. Nancy will show us clips, discuss how the documentary is being made, answer questions and ask for our suggestions of women to add.
The presentation will be at Wyndham Alumnae House, 101 N. Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA at 10:15 am followed by lunch, if you wish to stay.
Please use the Registration form to send in your reservations and payment, to be received by Cynthia Washington in the Alumnae Office by March 19. You may contact Cynthia at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-526-5233 with any questions.
The Women of Philadelphia will be the first documentary about the history of Philadelphia, or any city, as seen through the perspectives, contributions and impacts of women! Learn how known and unknown women have, over 350 years, despite challenges, significantly shaped Philadelphia. Lucretia Mott, Ernesta Ballard and more will be featured.
Nancy Moses has an MA in American Civilization, has been Director of the Atwater Kent Museum, was executive staff for Penn’s Center for Philadelphia Studies, and authored Lost in the Museum: Hidden Treasures and the Stories They Tell, as well as many articles.
