April 21st: Visit the PMA with the Scarlet Sages

Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Perelman Building for a special exhibit, “Drawn with Spirit: Pennsylvania German Fraktur from the Joan and Victor Johnson Collection.” Victor was a member of Haverford’s class of 1949, and Joan will lecture on these decorated documents depicting Pennsylvania German life from their premier private collection.

No cost other than admission to the Perelman Building ($10, $8 for seniors, Museum members free). Open to both Sages and younger alums. To register contact Margaret Gindhart at (610) 896-1329, or mgindhar@haverford.edu.

February 22nd in Naples, FL: Baker Museum of Art trip

Join the Haverford Scarlet Sages in a docent-led visit to the Baker Museum of Art for a traveling exhibition, “Gods and Heroes: Painting and Sculptures from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.”

Over 200 masterpieces from the collection of France’s greatest art school, most of which have not previously been seen outside the school.
