A talk on “CLIMATE CHANGE: True? Inconvenient? How Should We Respond?”
Our speaker will be Joe Manko, a lawyer with extensive experience in environmental and energy law, and a former EPA regional counsel and Penn Law professor. He will present his analysis of Climate Change, local and world-wide effects, past and present responses, and what we need to do as we contemplate our future. He is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge, understanding, and creative thinking about the difficult subject of Climate Change. Questions and discussion will be welcome at the end of his talk.
We will gather for coffee, tea and muffins at 10:15 am. The talk will be from 10:30 am until 11:15 am, with discussion until 11:45 am. At noon, luncheon will be served in Wyndham’s private dining room for those who have made reservations. A future mailing will provide registration information.
On October 29th come to Wyndham Alumnae House, 101 N. Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr College, for the Golden Sages’ Fall Event. We look forward to an active audience of Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore Sages and their guests for this informative and thought-provoking talk on Climate Change, a subject we all need to learn more about.
Also, save the date Thursday, September 24, 2015 for an event sponsored by Haverford College’s Scarlet Sages. The speaker will be C. Brian Rose ’78, professor of archaeology at the University of PA, in charge of Penn’s excavations at Troy, and involved with cultural heritage protection in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I look forward to seeing you at these events,
Representative of the Bryn Mawr College Golden Sages
